Her Voice Is is all about getting people involved. Sometimes when looking at the world's problems it can start to feel overwhelming and one begins to doubt if their voice really matters or if it can REALLY make a difference. The answer is YES! one voice can make a HUGE difference. It may not solve world hunger or banish sex trafficking but your voice can make an impact, and if every person realized that their voice mattered, BIG things can happen. You can change someones world with your voice. Take advantage of our blog. Her Voice Is has many different avenues which you can raise your voice. For instance, you can get involved with one of the organizations we have listed by either donating time or funds, you can get involved with our Her Voice Is Project which is a cause that we raise money for on our CrowdRise page (which is awesome because we do awesome giveaways too!), or the easiest and most awesome way...by sharing your story! There is a story from an awesome book called Half the Sky that greatly inspired the concept of Her Voice Is. It is a Hawaiian parable that was told by former Times videographer Naka Nathaniel:
A man goes out on the beach and sees that it is covered with starfish that have washed up in the tide. A little boy is walking along, picking them up and throwing them back into the water.
"What are you doing," the man asks. "You see how many starfish there are? You'll never make a difference."
The boy paused thoughtfully, and picked up another starfish and threw it into the ocean.
"It sure made a difference to that one," he said,
